What Is Deadwear?
Deadwear, created in 2000 by Glen Ronald evolved as a creative outlet to showcase wearable art. The one off a kind designs are based on the concept that the awareness of impending death causes us to focus on the value of our own lives. Experimenting with new and unique printing methods, Deadwear creates a balance between design and production, showcasing the strengths and creativity of the brand.
What Did We Do?
The better question here is what HAVEN‘T we done with deadwear! As it is our very own clothing line, we are free to use these projects more or less as a printmakers playground. Metallic inks and foils? Done it, very shiny. Bleaching and patchwork? You betcha. Giant prints bleeding over seams? Why the heck not? Combine these advanced print methods with our access to the newest cuts and styles of apparel and you’ve got a recipe for some really cool wearable art.
